Rachid Idrissi  M.D., Ph.d

Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation,
Interventional Pain Medicine


Dr. Idrissi received his medical degree as well as a Ph.D. from Mohammed V University, School of Medicine in Rabat, Morocco before moving to northern California in 1999.


He conducted medical research at Stanford University in California before entering a Surgical Residency Internship at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University Program in New York. He then went on to a three year residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Louisville and the world renowned Frazier Rehab and Neuroscience Center in Kentucky. Following his residency he completed a fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at the Emory University School of Medicine Program in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.


Dr. Idrissi is board certified and a fellow of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He has trained extensively in the field of Interventional Pain Medicine and is member of numerous national, state and local medical societies.


Dr. Idrissi’s primary focus is on Interventional Pain Management while utilizing the latest technology and cutting edge procedures in the field.

Josh Balsly  P.A-C

Josh grew up in Virginia Beach, VA. He graduated in 1999 with his BS in Biology

from Longwood University. After working with donor organs/tissues he chose to

pursue a career in healthcare. He graduated with a Masters from the Physician

Assistant program at Eastern Virginia Medical School in 2009. He and his wife then

moved to Raleigh to pursue his career and raise their family. He has 10 years

experience in Vascular surgery as well as first assist in robotic surgeries prior to

focusing on Pain Management exclusively.


He has been with Dr. Idrissi at Advanced Spine and Pain Center since 2010. In

addition to taking care of his patients, his duties also include those of the Clinical

Coordinator which involves maintaining policies and protocols as well as

interviewing, hiring, and training of all APP’s. He specializes in performing

numerous therapeutic injections including trigger point injections, nerve blocks

(Median, Occipital, etc…), Morton’s neuroma, Plantar fascia, and most joint

injections. Additionally, he performs Nerve Conduction Velocity and

Electromyography (EMG) studies weekly.

Grayson Gravely,  P.A-C

Grayson was born and raised in Wilson, NC. She graduated from NC State University in 2014 where she majored in Nutrition Science and received her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from Methodist University in 2017. She enjoys spending time with her husband, two retrievers, friends and family. Grayson is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants.

Arianna Varner  P.A-C

Arianna has always called North Carolina home and grew up in Morehead City prior to attending East Carolina University where she studied Biology, Psychology, and Music. She then pursued her passion for medicine by attending Methodist University PA Program where she graduated in 2021. Outside of work you will find Arianna spending time with her friends and family. You may also find her at the dog park with her four-legged best friend, Wrigley.

Crystal Berumen  NP

Crystal Berumen is a Nurse Practitioner from Lumberton, NC. She graduated with an associates degree in Nursing in 2011 from Robeson Community College. A bachelor's degree in nursing from Grand Canyon University in 2017 and a master's degree with family nurse practitioner training from South University in 2020. She practiced as a Registered Nurse for 9 years in her hometown of Lumberton NC before starting her career as a Nurse Practitioner. 


Mrs. Berumen is married with one step-son. Her personal interests include spending time with her family, traveling and spending time at the beach.

Trey Berryhill  P.A-C

Mr. Berryhill was raised in Fayetteville, NC and attended East Carolina where he obtained an

undergraduate degree in psychology and minor in Exercise Sports Science in 1995. He later

attended the University of Pittsburgh and received his Master degree in Physiology specializing

in cardiovascular rehabilitation and care, graduating in 1996. Upon graduation, Mr. Berryhill

developed and managed a cardiac rehabilitation program in Jacksonville, NC. He later attended

Methodist University’s Physician Assistant program, earning his Master of Science degree,

graduating in 2010.



Mr. Berryhill has previously worked in the specialties of primary care and cardiology. He

currently specializes in pain management with over 10 years of experience in the field.


Mr. Berryhill is married and has one daughter. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, exercising,

trivia, music, movies and spending time with family and friends. He is an avid sports fan and

roots for his beloved Carolina sports teams.

Andrew Wilz P.A-C

Andrew Wilz, originally from Pueblo, CO, completed his undergraduate studies at Clark University in Worcester, MA, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry in 2005. Afterward, he embarked on a career in research focused on epilepsy and stroke, followed by working as a neurodiagnostic technician in Portland, OR. His passion for healthcare led him to pursue further education, and he graduated from the Methodist University PA Program in 2020.


In his free time, Andrew finds joy in exploring the beautiful hiking trails of Raleigh, engaging in the vibrant local farmers markets, playing music, and cherishing quality moments with his family.
